Cosmetic Surgery and they asked Dr. Patino to share his expertise on Transumbilical Breast Augmentation, an endoscopic procedure with less scarring since the incision is made in the belly button.

Transumbilical breast augmentation or TUBA, involves introducing a breast implant from the belly button using the abdominal area to get the implants up to the breast area. The operation takes about 30-40 minutes which is shorter than a traditional breast implant procedure and therefore shortens the amount of time a patient is under anesthesia. The TUBA procedure also has a low risk of infection and other complications.
